Senior guide

Senior guide position available. This role is long term, must be able
to commit to the role for a minimum of 18 months. Role starting within the next couple of months.

We are a horse trekking company located near the small mountain town of Glenorchy, 45 minutes drive from Queenstown. A magical place to live and work. We provide fun and educational rides where safety comes first.

For most of our customers this is a once in a lifetime experience.

We are searching for a team leader experienced in Parelli Natural Horsemanship. You must be at least Level 2 graduate.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Horse trek guiding, horse training, horse treatments
Junior guiding team supervision
Supporting the Guide manager in their role

Requirements:

Parelli Level 2 graduate
At least 5 months of experience of guiding horse treks
Previous admin experience welcomed
Any additional certifications in horse education or body work welcomed
Good management skills and work ethics
Positive and progressive attitude
Strong leadership and ability to inspire

What you can expect from us

Minimum of 30 hour week guarantee
Yearly salary (min 45K, max 54K)

New role at Lighthorse Adventures for an Admin/Reception/Bookings Team Member

The Role:

Meet and greet our wonderful Guests with a cheery and can-do attitude

Checking and answering emails appropriately

A mind for safety, ensuring all guests are fitted with safety gear and given briefings

Cleaning and tidying all guest areas

Creating and sorting media for photo packs and social media

Additional admin tasks such as invoicing and payroll for the right candidate

This is an active and varied role. We are looking for a long-term, full-time team member.
While your duties will be primarily office-based based you will need to be an active and reasonably fit person. We foster a caring, positive team environment with a chance to join in with and learn Parelli Natural Horsemanship from a professional, qualified instructor.
