Parelli Natural Horsemanship is known for building safety and respect between horses and their humans through love, language and leadership.
Immerse yourself for 5 whole days, with like-minded people and your horse, delve deep into the study of horse behavior and how horse's think, act and play! Whilst at the same time learning so much more about your own habits, skills and behaviors!
Located in the stunning Dart Valley, this clinic will not only blow you away with world class instruction, but also with breath taking views and riding terrain.
Guaranteed to change how you and your horse connect and interact, nothing can replace this time and consistency without the distractions of everyday life and the responsibilities and roles your normally need to fulfill.
Develop a strong foundation and event stronger connection with your horse. Online, Liberty, Freestyle, maybe even some bareback, while Finesse is being peppered in along the way.

HORSE GRAZING:
We will have yards available for participants bringing their own horses. You will be required to keep the stalls clean and feed and water your own horses.
CAMPING:
Camping may be available on site, but there are no showers, or book your own accommodation. There are a great many lovely Airbnb's and lodges in the Glenorchy region to choose from, with a variety of budget options. CATERING:
This clinic includes camp lunches and snacks and hot drinks for morning tea and breaks. If you have specific dietary requirements, please keep us informed as there are some conditions we may not be able to cater for and you may need to supply your own lunches.
EQUIPMENT:
You will need to bring any equipment needed for your horse, feed for your horse, feed and water buckets, brushes, hoof picks, etc.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR THIS CLINIC:
Helmet and riding apparel
Saddle or bareback pad and saddle blanket/pads
Carrot stick and savvy string
12ft, 22ft and 45ft lines
halter
Bridle or hackamore (depending on what you usually ride in)
We are riding out onto stones on the riverbed, your horse will need to either be shod, or have hoof boots. Cavallo hoof boots can be purchased through us if desired.
* If you do not have any of these items please let us know and we may be able to arrange lease or loan of these.
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
a notebook and pen
a camp chair
hat and sunscreen
water bottle
clothing for all conditions, the clinic will continue regardless of weather
Driving yourself:
We are located in the Dart Valley, Glenorchy. You will need to allow 1 hour to drive from Queenstown.

Horse Arrival:
Horses should arrive the day before the clinic so that they are settled in by the start time of the clinic. Please call to discuss your arrival time.

For Clinics:
- If a participant cancels more than 30 days from the clinic date, they are able receive a refund for any fees paid.
- If a participant cancels less than 30 days from the clinic date, but more than 14 days before the clinic date, they will lose their deposit but will be refunded the other 50% paid.
- If a participant cancels less than 14 days from the clinic date, they will not receive any refund.

Private riding and Natural Horsemanship coaching with Licenced Parelli Professional Lynetta Schionning. Receive tuition on one of our awesome horses. Lessons are for 1 hour, longer lessons may be available to be booked by contacting Lighthorse Adventures on 021766437.
Driving yourself:
We are located in the Dart Valley, Glenorchy. You will need to allow 1 hour to drive from Queenstown.
Transport / Transfers:
Unavailable at this time.
Our horses are not machines, and they have been trained with particular cues and communication. We don’t kick or yank our horses and you’ll be asked to use the methods that they are familiar with when you ride with us.
Our rider weight limit is 105kg, allowances for riders outside of this weight limit may be granted for experienced riders or for shorter rides, depending on the riders’ weight. Any allowances made by Lighthorse must be granted in writing and will be checked on the day.
We have different sized horses for different sized people. But at the end of the day, horse riding is still an athletic activity and you need to be able to get on and get off safely without hurting yourself or the horse. Please be honest about your weight and ability as there will be no refunds if you’re turned away from your ride because inaccurate information was provided. If in doubt (call us) to discuss your needs prior to booking.
Cancellations must be made with a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the day of your booked ride to qualify for a booking re-schedule or refund. Cancellations and booking changes made after 30 days, but prior to 24 hours will incur a 10% of the total booking fee, cancellations made within 24 hours of the day of your booked ride are non-refundable.

Level 1 - The Partnership level, focuses on safety on the ground. We will cover the 7 Games and how to play them to create a language, respect and trust. Parelli Natural Horsemanship is known for building safety and respect between horses and their humans through love, language and leadership.
Learn the Natural Horsemanship program that has created more horsemen and women worldwide than any other.
Famous for helping ordinary horse lovers to get extraordinary results with their horses and changing the way we communicate and interact with our horses.
In this clinic will cover level 1 and 2 of the Parelli Program with a half day format over 4 days. The morning will be level 1 and the afternoon for level 2. Join in for both classes with your horse, or watch for the half day you’re not attending.

Level 2 - The Harmony level, is both on the ground and ridden. Now we are safe, we focus on really starting to have fun with our horses and we learn how to be a leader and dance partner for them. You will build more connection on the ground and begin your journey of Freestyle riding (riding without contact building to bridle-less). Parelli Natural Horsemanship is known for building safety and respect between horses and their humans through love, language and leadership.
